Welcome

A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR OF THE TRUST

The Knowledge Schools Trust (KST) is delighted to welcome Dovery Academy to our growing group of excellent primary schools. We look forward to working with the school and supporting staff to ensure all children get the best possible education. Building on the success of our existing 3 Ofsted Outstanding primary schools in London, we welcomed Edlesborough Primary Academy, seven miles from Dovery Academy, to the Trust last year, it's been wonderful to see how quickly and comprehensively the school community embraced changes and the rapid improvement in outcomes. I am confident our highly skilled primary improvement team, led by Laura Lund will work hand-in-hand with Sarah Cavender, the new Head of School, and the staff to drive similar improvement.

As Chair of the Trust, I lead the Governance efforts across our schools, and I look forward to working with the school community to ensure strong Governance in the school, that is fully integrated within our existing structures and allows Dovery Academy to benefit from the skills and resources within our Trust. I am sure you will see changes in the curriculum, and classroom practice over the coming months, as parents please support your children's teachers to embrace this and please don’t hesitate to raise any questions you may have. There is a lot of hard work ahead, but it will hopefully be rewarding for all involved and most importantly ensure all children are receiving an excellent education at the School.

I would like to thank Mrs Blessing for her work as interim Head over the last school year and for helping make the transition to KST so smooth.

A warm welcome to parents, staff and most importantly all the Dovery Academy pupils.

Suzie Hobart | Chair of Knowledge Schools Trust
